Irish Hills was born in 2023 from a simple idea; to share one of KwaZulu-Natal’s best-kept secrets with people looking for somewhere genuinely peaceful to escape to.
The name comes from the Callaghan Irish heritage and the landscape that earned it: our rolling, lush green hill tucked away in the Winterskloof Valley Conservancy. If you’ve ever been to Ireland, you’ll see why. If you haven’t, well then this might be the next best thing.
Your host is Mary Anne, who has lived in the area for years and knows it inside out. She lives in the same house as the guest accommodation, so you’ll always have someone on hand if you need a local recommendation, directions, or just a friendly face. The cottage is self-contained and private, but the welcome is personal; that’s the balance we aim for. Mary Anne is here to make sure you have exactly what you need for your stay.
